Too bad for you and the other Christian theocrats in the Bible belt, the Constitution is the law of the entire US and you don't get to have an exception for your state. We have protections from the tyranny of the majority. This won't last long. There's lots of other countries with no such protections or separations between religion and state. Feel free to move and stop trying to make the US into a Christian theocracy.
The Supreme Court ruled that the National motto “In God We Trust” is not the establishment of religion. So, yeah, they can probably do this.

Probably not. The USSC has ruled before that the National motto isn’t a problem. It is on all the money too.
The USSC is often inconsistent in its rulings.
Time will tell if they intend to allow states to give schools
a religious orientation, & which religions can dominate.

This has been tried before. When I was in elementary school,
public schools were Xian, with teacher led prayer. And yet,
despite this being the will of the community, the USSC struck
this practice down.

They might have something to say about it since this in a school with a captove audience and if it can be shown that the intention is to promote religion, which it obviously is. We'll see. The court was wrong in the first place to support that motto. It's a blatant violation of the First Amendment so that ruling is a joke.

In God we trust is not a Christian thing. Jews believe in God. Muslims believe in God. The motto is just a higher power. Lincoln as well as the Constitution grants this idea. Given rights by the creator. God given rights.

If the scoffers try to take that away completely, I see another civil war. It's the reason so many Americans own guns. And guess which side has the most guns. Let's let it ride and see what happens. The peoples voice, or the two bit liberal lawyers trying to redefine America. ACLU might be the first target.

It's a religious statement and has no business on anything to do with government.

You sound like a total crank. I have zero patience for such lunacy. I am already long since fed up with your fake "Gnostic" bashing of Jews and Catholics, anyway. *clicks ignore*

I wonder....
Does the state get to determine the religion of every school with its borders?
Or does each community get to impose a different religion upon students?

Why would the Supreme Court take up a controversial case unless it had to?

You say the court was wrong. That’s one opinion. Good luck with that. In the meanwhile, since all U.S. currency, by act of Congress, bears the motto “In God We Trust” and you object to using that motto, please send all you currency to me. ;)

By capitalizing the "G" in "God", they make it a proper name.
Does anyone think that the Xians who try to impose this upon
the unwilling have any god in mind other than their own?

But what of non-abrahamic religions?
It is even by your own admission not applicable to them.

I'm just sure there's going to be lawsuits over this.

Nice try. I just use a debit card. I don't carry money.

According to the Supreme Court using the motto “In God WeTrust” doesn’t determine the religion of a school. So your point is moot.

Good for me. I will enjoy In God We Trust as long as it lasts. The more who ignore it, the better.

Lucifer has left the building.
