Probably not. The USSC has ruled before that the National motto isn’t a problem. It is on all the money too.Of course, TN doesn't get to enact any old law it wants.
The USSC just might weigh in on this.

Insecure to believe that this all powerful, omnipresent, all knowing being that they worship needs constant reminding of how important she is.Do you think it is because they are too insecure or too secure? If you catch my meaning.
Doubt it. The USSC was created in 1984, How ironic the date.Of course, TN doesn't get to enact any old law it wants.

Huh?
The Supreme Court ruled that the National motto “In God We Trust” is not the establishment of religion. So, yeah, they can probably do this.Too bad for you and the other Christian theocrats in the Bible belt, the Constitution is the law of the entire US and you don't get to have an exception for your state. We have protections from the tyranny of the majority. This won't last long. There's lots of other countries with no such protections or separations between religion and state. Feel free to move and stop trying to make the US into a Christian theocracy.
The USSC is often inconsistent in its rulings.Probably not. The USSC has ruled before that the National motto isn’t a problem. It is on all the money too.
Whuh?Subtitle for "The Christmas Story".
They might have something to say about it since this in a school with a captove audience and if it can be shown that the intention is to promote religion, which it obviously is. We'll see. The court was wrong in the first place to support that motto. It's a blatant violation of the First Amendment so that ruling is a joke. The Supreme Court ruled that the National motto “In God We Trust” is not the establishment of religion. Aronow v. United States - Wikipedia
I guess it would be within the letter of the law to post the phrase with a question mark at the end.We do?
It dates to 1789.Doubt it. The USSC was created in 1984, How ironic the date.
In God we trust is not a Christian thing. Jews believe in God. Muslims believe in God. The motto is just a higher power. Lincoln as well as the Constitution grants this idea. Given rights by the creator. God given rights.Too bad for you and the other Christian theocrats in the Bible belt, the Constitution is the law of the entire US and you don't get to have an exception for your state. It's a religious statement and has no business on anything to do with government. In God we trust is not a Christian thing. Jews believe in God. Muslims believe in God. You sound like a total crank. I have zero patience for such lunacy. I am already long since fed up with your fake "Gnostic" bashing of Jews and Catholics, anyway. *clicks ignore*If the scoffers try to take that away completely, I see another civil war. It's the reason so many Americans own guns. And guess which side has the most guns. Let's let it ride and see what happens. The peoples voice, or the two bit liberal lawyers trying to redefine America. ACLU might be the first target.
Why would the Supreme Court take up a controversial case unless it had to?They might have something to say about it since this in a school with a captove audience and if it can be shown that the intention is to promote religion, which it obviously is. By capitalizing the "G" in "God", they make it a proper name.In God we trust is not a Christian thing. Jews believe in God. Muslims believe in God.
You are referring to SCOTUS. Not USSC
I'm just sure there's going to be lawsuits over this. Why would the Supreme Court take up a controversial case unless it had to?
You say the court was wrong. That’s one opinion. Good luck with that. In the meanwhile, since all U.S. currency, by act of Congress, bears the motto “In God We Trust” and you object to using that motto, please send all you currency to me.
Of course, TN doesn't get to enact any old law it wants.

According to the Supreme Court using the motto “In God WeTrust” doesn’t determine the religion of a school. So your point is moot.I wonder....
Does the state get to determine the religion of every school with its borders?
Or does each community get to impose a different religion upon students?
Good for me. I will enjoy In God We Trust as long as it lasts. The more who ignore it, the better. It's a religious statement and has no business on anything to do with government.
