And there are at least Justices who maybe considering retirement. And look where the power to nominate and confirm lies.
Democrats want to give that power to Pence.
But we heathens are still turning the tide....
- Gay marriage
- Abortion rights
- Evolution taught in schools
We're winning.

According to the Supreme Court using the motto “In God WeTrust” doesn’t determine the religion of a school. So your point is moot.
So they say.
But they also once said that separate but equal education for black kids is perfectly legal.

We all know that the motto is about the Xian god, not a Hindu, Muslim, Norse or other god.
It it any coincidence that the writers of such a law don't include Sikhs, Wiccans or Zoroastrians?
Nah....they're all Bible thump'n snake handlers who speak in tongues at tent revivals.
They seek to establish Xianity by means of this watered down motto, one which they may
artfully claim applies to more than one religion.

I always understood 'in God we trust' to refer to a generic God.
A generic god who just happened to have the same name as the Xian "God"?
What of religions which have more than one? Certainly being singular would
exclude them. And of course, we heathens who believe in no gods are excluded.

When Elmer Gantry types praise "God", we all know it's the Xian god & no other.

If it said In Khuda We Trust, who would figure that to be a generic god and not Ahura Mazda?

No-one.

I guess it would be within the letter of the law to post the phrase with a question mark at the end. :)
It would indeed be questionable if many Xians really do believe in their own god.
Look at their behavior, even their most prominent ones. They cheat on their
spouses, they steal, they lie, etc. If they really trusted in their God, would they
behave that way?
