Terrorist Attacks in Israel

I don't agree about labeling humans as Hindu, Jew, Muslim ..etc, but regarding your question then yes, according to racism between humans
then it is hard to marry from one another.

Interesting. Sorry FearGod, I may be at a lag to your thought processes - would you describe yourself as Muslim, currently? I am sure you did a little while ago.

I'm a human being and i do believe in God but i don't agree in labeling people according to their homelands and beliefs, we created racism.

I'm in Israel right now, and I keep hearing about terrorist attacks by stabbing or shooting.

Am I hearing about this stuff because I'm here, or are you all hearing of these events. I'm asking because it seems like the kind of events which would normally already have a thread, but I couldn't find one.

In the past week there have been two shootings, 4 stabbings and one guy who ran over someone. ,

In this case you should be the more credible source for such info. You are actually there and what you experience or hear is by all means more authentic than anything we hear from the outside. The media are known for their deception.

I personally don't even follow the news and always take different sides neutrally. People are people and what they belong to, whatever it is, is not the direct reason for their actions.

But I also believe that minding one's own business and being reasonable in where to go and what to do at the right times of the day is the first step to stay out of trouble. So take care of yourself for us, man. Stay safe :)

I tend to agree with you on this as all such words are abstract constructs often used to create or reflect divisions that all too often leads to a we/they dichotomy whereas the "they" is often viewed in negative terms.

To the OP, yes, here in the US the mainstream media constantly reports about any violence against Israelis.

Hi Eseka, it looks like we are on the same trajectory. :)

Yes, the mainstream media does report violence against Israeli's. Are you pro-Palestinian ?

I favor a pretty standard two-state solution.
This discussion gets pretty complicated, very fast. Issues of lines of demarcation, walls, etc. come right up. I think we need some fresh views on the Middle East. They need some intensive interfaith discussion. And a vision for a new, and common economy. I hope it doesn't take 100 to 1,000 years.

I've gotta hit the sack now....

So they were bored and thought it might uplift their spirits if they torched the Kever Yosef/Joseph's Tomb, again.

So, there are a fair amount of "Liberals" here at Religious Forums. I am genuinely curious to know what y'all think is the solution to this particular problem of Arabs rioting and murdering people in Israel and, how your solution would be implemented...
Thanks!

There simply is no excuse for a country or a people to intentionally target innocent civilians, so Israel will have to do what it has to do to get things under control, and that may mean replacing tear gas and rubber bullets with real bullets, some of which have already had to be used. If such events had occurred in pretty much any Arab country, we would be seeing a complete bloodbath by now.

Peaceful civil disobedience, which can be very effective as we've seen, is missing within the Arab communities, and what I think is much more needed than throwing rocks and fire-bombs is a Gandhi-esque organizer who leads a peaceful "revolution". If not, force will just be met by more force, and the bloody cycle will just go round and round and...

That is simply nonsense. See, for example, here.

What is also missing is a robust Civil Rights Movement within the non-Arab communities protesting the daily oppression and degradation of the Palestinian people.
