Well, here is the official unclassified line as far as just how the Russians somehow influenced the 2016 election:
Russia Hacking report
The key assessments seem to be:
1) Russians made Hillary look bad in contrast to Trump thereby influencing Americans to vote against her.
2) Russia used paid trolls to get on media sites and post pro- Trump and anti- Hillary messages to influence the election.
3) Vote tallying systems were not compromised
4) Putin Ordered this type of espionage worldwide
This is what we have been waiting for?

I voted other because I see this as worse than fiction considering the International situation our current administration and intelligence services have created around this. Some people which may or may not be Russians much less paid trolls made pro-Trump and anti- Hillary statements on the Internet and that somehow got Trump elected completely forgetting the fact that numerous media outlets in the U.S. including NPR radio basically ordained Hillary as president before the election and the prolonged Trump character assassination campaign during the lead up. I'd swear this was a joke if I didn't know better.
