Dear DavidFirth,
I-Ching is the bible for those who pursue a natural way of life, by trusting and flowing with the forces of nature; and is nothing less than any holy scriptures in terms of holiness, timelessness, influence, and following.
I am sorry for not able to “excite” you with my take on I-Ching. Please forgive me for, and try to look beyond, my poor command of English; for I-Ching does provide an interesting perspective and practicable skills on how to become the master of one’s own universe.
After all, peeping into others’ belief systems always enhances your own; as human inevitably misinterprets when looking at things too exclusively, especially printed words, as they are opened to all kinds of interpretation.
For example, the wisdom of adhering to only God’s words should not be interpreted too literally to the extent of being exclusive.
In fact, I-Ching has a similar advice – always seek wisdom, from outside the body, with the following qualities: basic (hence unchangeable), balance (hence fair), and farsighted (hence progressive) – a task made possible by learning how to sustain a 3-D existence that frees one from human interference.
