The best religion quiz I tried

Sha'irullah

I declare this quiz as absurd :sarcastic

1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Reform Judaism (98%)
3. Liberal Quakers - Religious Society of Friends (91%)
4. Secular Humanism (88%)
5. Jainism (83%)
6. Neo-Pagan (83%)
7. Sikhism (78%)
8. Non-theist (77%)
9. Mainline - Liberal Christian Protestants (73%)
10. Bahai (72%)

I have a strong dislike Towards Unitarian Universalism and its general concept to be honest. I personally cannot understand why deism was left out or how I was not a non-theist

Aww, Unitarian Universalism isn't that bad. :D

It always irritates me when these things lump non-theistic perspectives in with not knowing, not caring, or not thinking it's important. I got bored half way through.

Better than last time I must admit :p. I still do not understand how I can be a Reform Jew. Maybe I ate too many Kosher hot dogs yesterday

Because Deism is a belief pertaining to G-d, not necessarily life in general.

That said, I too have a strong dislike towards UU as well. Mainly because I do not see the purpose of trying to have a religion based vague notions of spirituality and trying to have multiple faiths under the guise of one "religion"/religious philosophy.

The perfect score for me:

1. Eastern Orthodox (100%)
ir

2. Roman Catholic (100%)
ir

3. Orthodox Quaker - Religious Society of Friends (99%)
ir

4. Seventh Day Adventist (96%)
ir

5. Hinduism (93%)
ir

6. Liberal Quakers - Religious Society of Friends (86%)
ir

7. Sikhism (80%)
8. Mainline - Liberal Christian Protestants (79%)

Hinduism and Sikhism, no matter in what questionnaire I do, are always my two top non-Christian religions. I even got Hinduism 100% on a couple.

I guess I am a little surprised that Christian Protestant is only 89%, but then they asked questions that I didn't think really belonged in a religious quiz- questions about abortion, for example.

1. Orthodox Quaker - Religious Society of Friends (100%)
2. Mainline - Conservative Christian Protestant (89%)
3. Mainline - Liberal Christian Protestants (84%)
Two of my top three are the same as two of your top three, ChristineES.

I agree with you on both matter . Deism is nothing but a philosophical standpoint and unlike religion does not truly affect one;s own life at all like atheism.

UU tries demanding the impossible if you ask me. If religious differences could be reconciled it would have been done by now. No person of religious background can expect this from a church.

Either your a Christian or not. There is no choosing of multiple allegiances.

The biggest problem is that it doesn't account for pagan religions, pretty much lumping them all together as "neo-pagan", as if neo-pagans could be lumped together like that.

True and they do the same to Islam and Hinduism as well. In fact, they consider many different forms of Christianity... But all other religions are only split in one or two when there's a lot more diversity.

Ok, guys... I understand that you disagree or that this religion doesn't fit your beliefs, but I couldn't ignore your use of the word dislike.

I don't think it would have been well perceived if I said that I "dislike" Christianity, Judaism or any other religion/philosophy. Maybe it's just a linguistic/cultural thing, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Problem with the pagan religions is that you're dealing with myriad religious groupings, who often have very different beliefs to one another, whilst all using a 'pagan' or 'earth religion' label. Quizzes like this are intended to be a starting point for general information, but really it is the responsibility of those who feel drawn to a religious group to find their preferred denomination.

I think it's hilarious that I barely match with the beliefs I was raised in (Mainline Conservative Protestant). I've always thought Buddhism was interesting, I'll look into it.

Glad it was useful! Though it has some flaws as we discussed, this test can just steer curiosity so that's why I like it.
