Well today was the dreaded day. 40 years upon this world. I am happy to report it was an excellent day and I am blessed to have such great friends and family!

Imagine my disappointment to see the thread title and to realize after clicking that this was not a thread about my daddyparts. :(

Happy belated 40th birthday, Enoch!

Well it's kind of an inside joke.

Many moons ago at 17 my close friend and I contemplated life n such. We looked ahead to 40 years old and thought "No way in heck is it even possible we are making it to 40!" Well 2 blinks of an eye later here we is.

A dearly departed friend of mine once told me that you spend the first half of your life trying to kill yourself everyday, and the second half of your life just trying to stay alive one day longer.

I am starting to see how that is true now.
A few years ago, a bunch of us from HS got together. Inevitably the discussion turned to how old we were, according to the calendar, and how we'd been out of school and going on with our lives for more than twice as many years as we'd been alive when we were seniors in HS together...

And all of us, despite thinning hair, declining bodies, grandchildren (for a few of us) and everything else that age brings, were positive that we were still in our early to middle 20s...

May your life always bring you the best! And if it doesn't, make the best you can of it!:)
