The C word

What makes the C word so offensive, in your opinion? Perhaps you don't find it more offensive than other profane words, but some people do.

For example, I was in a College play when I was roughly 19, I think it was called "Betty's summer vacation" and the script has the C word in it, and the director removed it...now, what makes this ironic, is, it is a very offensive play...my Dad saw it and said "The professor that directed that play should be hung"...the play contained a serial killer, a severed penis in the freezer, a rape scene, a weirdo that flashes his junk, the F word and lots of profanity, etc. So, I don't get it, the C word gets removed from the script, but the rest of the disturbing stuff stays...Really?

For some reason, that, and other things I've heard from people, tells me, the C word is the epitome of offensive, as far as offensive vocabulary goes...I still don't understand exactly why?

At any rate, I miss being an actor in plays :( I just can't do it anymore cuz it makes me wanna abuse drugs...

(anyhow, this has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the OP, but I was having some outbursts of profane blasphemy today, so much so, that someone got an authority figure to intervene...I haven't had something like that happen in so long...please tell me, you have something to share that was embarrassing, to make me feel a little better... :D

...anyway, it motivated me to go to see a priest and confess my sins. It became so hilarious of a confession, I wish I would have recorded it on my phone. That certainly isn't allowed cuz the confession booth is to be completely top secret...but, Damn! That was a good confession! :)

I just always let everything terrible out in disturbing detail and bad words, and have had a priest refuse to absolve me....

...this priest really appreciated it, and said it was a great quality and something he comes across rarely! It certainly felt good...

...what one person finds highly offensive, another person really appreciates...maybe we offensive, eccentric folks have it together more than we realize lol o_O you just gotta have the right audience...)

Bad words are dictated by the society they are used in.

Trastifat is a bad word. But who would know?

Actually our offensive swear words came from Germanic origin when formal English became more French and Latin with the Norman Conquest of the British Isles.

Not offensive to me, I use it all the time, where I'm at it is synonymous to "guy" or "dude"

Im from America, I live in Bali, which is like Cancun for Aussies, and the C word is just a regular word in the lexicon here.

I also don't assign the C word to just females, dudes are far more c***y than women could ever dream of being.
