The Chill Out thread

Things can get pretty heavy and heated in some of the debates from time to time. Let's use this thread to relax, calm down when issues get heated. Talk about anything at all here. So sit back, put your feet up, grab a drink of your choice... and just chill.

I'm hanging out in the coffeeshop at college right now. I'm in the middle of my 2 hour break. College Algebra is my next class; pathetically easy (I've had it before but didn't take it for dual credit, stupid me) but a nice nap period.

A guy is playing the piano; he's good. He's here every day, so I wonder if he is here playing because of the service learning program. If so, I'd like to get involved; find a piano player and sing here. It would be a lot of fun.

The wireless network here keeps logging me out after about five minutes of "inactivity" (not opening a new page), making it really hard to write anything.

A guy ordered an italian soda, then decided he didn't like it and gave it to me. I don't like it either, but I haven't eaten anything yet today and I'm getting a little shaky... maybe the sugar will help?

I need a job... then I can BUY food! =P

isn't the general discussions forum an entire chill out forum? :areyoucra Just curious...

No... most other threads in GD have actual topics of discussion... this one doesn't.

Becky, I love your new avvie!

The farmer/ landlord whose house my mom and I rent has gotten in some goslings. Some people may remember that he also has a full-grown goose that hangs out in our backyard whose name is Rocko. (And they may remember that Rocko has decided that I am his Ain True Love.) Because the goslings were raised for the first part of their life with chickens, their vocalizing sounds more like poultry than goose currently. So I've made it my daily activity to go out to the barn and honk at them, trying to teach them to speak goose so that they will be accepted by Rocko when they're released into the yard. So far, two of the four have started honking back at me!

Kawaii! That's really cute! It's too bad you don't live closer to my mom... you could be sisters personality-wise.

Feathers, you're the only person I've known in my life to teach geese how to speak geese. And I'm 49! You are one caring woman!

I woke up a bit dizzy this morning but Evearael figured out it was from a touch of dehydration. I drank plenty of liquids and that took care of the dizziness. I suggest we elect Evearael the Forum Nurse.

Seconded! (I'm glad you're feeling better, Phil! If the dehydration was for awhile, you may want to be sure to get some... Curses, my courses in nutrition are failing me. Are they called electrolytes?) But I think the goose thing is really more selfishness than caring. I want the goslings to be able to get along with Rocko so that they can join forces and eat all the bugs in the yard!

Evearael, does your mom like animals, too?

I got my first pair of bifocals yesterday. They are cute, frameless, and I love them. I can see again!

Feathers, you are adorable. I bet you make a great mama goose for those goslings. The only animal I can speak is whale. I learned it from watching Nemo. Dory is my hero, and I am a lot like her. (what were we talking about again...?)

Did anyone else notice the ticker ad on this site about having your own inflatable buisness? I think Google ads must have picked up on Sunstone's love life. (oops, did I say that out loud?)

Cute! That's awesome that you take your time out to do that. Oh, and I agree with Sunstone on Leonne being the nurse. She is very helpful

Coolies, that works for me! :p Hey, evearael, what do you suggest for my consistently dropping blood sugar level (like every 3 hours I'm on the verge of a hypo). :faint:
