The Daily Show Biased?

I'm really not using your definition of "biased" in the manner you cite but more along the line of exhibiting favoritism.

That would be pretty much the same thing. Favoritism has the connotation of being unfair or unreasonable. The question is whether you think the show simply exhibits liberal viewpoints or whether it goes further by being unfair or prejudiced. If you think it's biased, then it would be the latter. If it's the former, it wouldn't be biased.

Favoritism is not intrinsically unfair, but it could be. Either way, I do believe I made my position quite clear.

The Daily Show observes homosexual rights, feminism and some other lefty items. To call it 'Biased' would be inaccurate, however; since 'Bias' has connotations of dishonesty, favoring one truth without acknowledging opinions and other views. Its honest about having opinions, that they are opinions and spends the majority of its time lampooning the foibles of news people and political participants. Anyone who does something stupidly is game. For example the Daily Show had a lot of fun making fun of the Mayor of Toronto, despite his leftward political leanings.
Ha, "leftward political leanings"? Do you mean smoking crack and hanging out with gangstas? Cuz he is otherwise as conservative as politicians can get in this country and still be taken at least half seriously, some of the time.

OK, well, I disagree. You've called it biased, but then said it wasn't unfair. You've basically said it's biased because it has opinions. That doesn't make it biased, though. But to avoid the terms "biased" and "favoritism", you think the show has liberal opinions, but it's fair, right?

Looks like I'm wrong about Ford. Yup he's a rightie.

Don Cherry rips ‘left-wing pinkos’ at council inaugural | Toronto Star

Still, if we are talking about the Daily Show, I think they take the rip out of anyone who makes an embarrassing mistake.

They do. Comedy itself (and entertainment in general) is very much skewed to the left. It might seem that they're fair because they're far to the left of both parties and find them both worthy of lampooning.

If it speaks money, such as the shows do, is it really all that important whats on it, considering its going to be stuff of a small interest.

However, if I were to indulge in a show such as these, which I may in occasion when it events occur at someones house, then it'd obviously be John Oliver.

I think it leans more toward consistent satire than anything that should be taken seriously. Basically a waste of time because Stewart, thought intelligent, comes off as an imbicile so much so that he makes it not worth watching. No matter who his guest is. He ruins it with his inability to remain serious when the topic calls for it.

He's not as bad as compared to Colbert. Gads!

How many episodes have you watched? During serious interviews, he's always serious with an occasional joke to break it up. And the interviews are only a third of the show. You don't have to like it, and if you don't want to watch it, that's your call, but I'm not sure your criticism is accurate.

The interviews are definitely not the best part of his show, but the show as a whole is better than The Daily Show, in my opinion.

The Daily Show has more variety. Steven is able to come up with new material, but he needs another format change. Even the chicken joke has a reason to get to the other side, eventually.

Welp, he's winding it up, so not much use in a format change at this point I would imagine.
