So you ignore trends. I don't.
I recognize the limits of humans to see broad trends in
human affairs that are complex, varied, & highly subjective.
You ignore your own fallibility in your leap to certainty.
It all depends upon how one measures "better".
I agree that some things are better.
Your linked article doesn't mention other things which
I see as worse, eg, over-population effects, which include
crowding, loss of natural spaces, mass extinction, higher
land cost, global warming.
Does this make some sense to you?
