The easiest religion to follow?

No religion - atheism

No dogma, no lost Sundays (or other religious days), no 'donations', no dubious morals, no time wasted reading old books, etc.

In fact, I can only see benefits

Damn, that's what I was going to say.

Obviously, I sat there, thinking to myself, "Which religion/belief/philosophy has the least amount of responsibilities?" And, there was atheism staring me right in the face.

Skanky Old Mongrel!
I once met this interesting guy who had formed his own Christian group, wore a dog collar and had proclaimed himself 'Ordained by God'. He even gave confession to his followers. During the day he was a retail security guard.
It takes all sorts, but he was an interesting bloke. :)

Mine is pretty straightforward imo but I wouldn't say simple or easy.

You do, although the sleeping facilities are a little compact.
No probs..... about the daytime sleeping facilities, but what are the chances of a stake, or being chucked on front of the sun.??
But the thought of biting certain kinds of folks is quite catching. :D

A nonJew who worships the G-d of Israel. Same beliefs as the Jewish people but not under their covenant. All nonJews are technically in my worldview Noahides.
Thank you. :)
I've been on RF for yonks and never found that out.

"What is the simplest religion to follow"

A thing can be simple but also hard to do!

That's a critical clarification. Religions differ on rites and ceremonies, but at the core is a very simple belief that in practice is something else.

The core of my belief is Love for God. And there's very simple guidance about how to do it. But the practice? Oh the practice. Can I love Donald Trump as I love my wife? Can I see my faults as clearly as I should? Do I endure my lot...? Can I even remember these words most of the time? Sigh.

To love God in the most practical way is to love our fellow beings. If we feel for others in the same way as we feel for our own dear ones, we love God.

If, instead of seeing faults in others, we look within ourselves, we are loving God.

If, instead of robbing others to help ourselves, we rob ourselves to help others, we are loving God.

If we suffer in the sufferings of others and feel happy in the happiness of others, we are loving God.

If, instead of worrying over our own misfortunes, we think ourselves more fortunate than many many others, we are loving God.

If we endure our lot with patience and contentment, accepting it as His Will, we are loving God.

If we understand and feel that the greatest act of devotion and worship to God is not to hurt or harm any of His beings, we are loving God.

To love God as He ought to be loved, we must live for God and die for God, knowing that the goal of life is to Love God, and find Him as our own self.

Do you think your religion is more or less easy to follow than Christianity?
My Religion is much easier to follow

My Master said one day:
"Be happy ... others will be happy ... all will be happy ... God will be happy"

I don't know if this has been done before, it seems like such an obvious thing to bring up...

Question: Out of all the world’s religions, which one would you say is the easiest, most low maintenance to follow?

I say Christianity:
  • No dietary rules
  • No mandatory system of regular ritual prayer (unless in a monastery)
  • Forgiveness of sins if you repent and promise never to do it again
  • Love God
  • Love others as you love God
  • Do unto others
  • Accept Christ as your Lord and saviour and receive eternal life
  • Follow the ethical and spiritual teachings of Christ - make him your Lord
  • Make more followers of Christ, as best you can
  • Turn the other cheek
  • Forgiveness of sins through Christ's horrible death
  • Forgive those who have wronged you
  • Blessed are the meek
…and probably many more…

But that’s not why I became a Christian! :D

TRUST JESUS.

Eddi, I wish I could agree with you. I find Christianity to be a very satisfying path, but I definitely don't think living a Christlike life is an easy thing. I wish it was easier to forgive others, to love all of God's children unconditionally, and to never put myself first, but for me, it takes constant effort.
