The ecosystem of an individual

Balthazzar

N. Germanic Descent
I wonder if our individual ecosystems, how we were formed from our paternal creators, has any bearing on the chemical value of an earth born substance like tobacco in the personal eco systems of an individual. An introduced non indigenous substance or chemical (maybe cocaine, or heroin), an invasive species if you will, could throw off the entire individual system, much like what happened in Florida with pythons, and in many areas of the US like Georgia with pigs, that were imported and domesticated, many of which have now become feral.

Could the removal of an indigenous presence from our own ecosystems throw off our systems as individuals? It could equate to a type of genocide with the removal of anything born and formed from, like coffee or caffeine. Mother and father, if daily consumers of a thing, and their kids formed from those specifics., I sometimes wonder if our conquests against some substances like tobacco, proven harmful for some people, may in fact be detrimental to others if removed.

The removal of bees from the earth for instance. This could jeopardize the entire earth ecosystem.

I wonder if this concept was understood and being addressed in the old days? I was reading a text book of history full of stories and this was alluded to, apparently documented over a thousand years ago. A very short and easy read: About the ecosystem

There's an entire field of life science that addresses these sorts of questions - microbial ecology. It's been a thing for quite some time and has specific medical implications with the gut microbiome for example. It's not something I have really looked into as it is a bit too micro scale for my tastes as a biologist.
