The End Of Christianity

Uh, they didn't tell either.
You don't seem to understand. Much of history was reported orally, and never written down.

However, you are still wrong, because (as I said before) "With Jesus, we have letters attesting to his existence by someone who knew his followers, we have four "lives" (ancient biographies) between 30-70 years of his mission, a number of other epistles, an altered reference by Josephus, an unaltered passing reference by Josephus, a possible reference by Thallus, etc.

That is more than all but a handful of ancient figures, most of whom were emperors or members of highly elite and literate communities, not preachers from the backwaters of galilee"

I have more conclusive proof than you do. We have the stories of Jesus. If they didn't tell the stories, we wouldn't have them.

But they are not stories told by historians, but by unknown authors wlth no weight of authenticity.

Yes, they are stories told by historians, who had as much weight in their own time, as modern historians do in our time.
