I meant scarcity in the economic sense, i.e. there will always be a limited amount of housing space for people to compete over, so yes, something can be both scarce in that sense yet widely affordable.

I own my stuff. I paid for it. The government didnt pay for it but acts like it's their stuff though anyways.

Your private property exists in the first place because it is being guaranteed by your government, and most violations of property rights are being persecuted in court, backed by the implied or factual violence of the police and its attached judicial apparatus.
