The universal extremities soon happen where Betelgeuse will go supernova, and possibly become a black-hole...
The one man will not change the universal quantum physics, that is collapsing at an atomic level, where everything will become part of the singularity again.
Yet one man's death has already affected the world drastically, and understanding why, determines if beings will be resurrected into the world after reality has been recreated.
