ok here goes , the first one that I ever bought was Steve Martin , "King Tut" and "Funky Town"(I can't remember who done funky town) they were on the 45 records . You remember , the ones that you had to have the plastic piece for the center of the record so that the record player would play it....

Funky Town was by a group called, "Lipps, Inc." Great song! 1979 or '80, I believe...

My very first record was "Brand New Pair of Roller Skates," on 45. I wanted "American Pie," but the store had sold out of them...

My first 33 album was Black Oak Arkansas (self-titled).

My first 8-track was Styx -- "Equinox."

My first cassette tape was The Partridge Family. I got it as a Christmas present. Don't remember the title, but it was the one with the calendar on the cover.

My first CD was "Best of Elton John."

my first 33 album/record whatever you want to call it was "Dancing on the Ceiling" by Lionel Ritchie ...the cover opened up to twice its regular size to show a pic of Lionel on a giant pencil , i think . at the same time I also bought "She's so Unusual" by Cyndi Lauper

i now have both of those on cd...:p
