Why is it written that Jesus said that to be baptized in water saves? Maybe he was talking to those people who believed John.
Also, I have not seen the backup scripture yet. Can you provide one?

A person who is baptized in water but not baptized in The Holy Spirit is not saved. Correct? Then..........water baptism does not save a person. Does baptism make a better person? Sometimes but not always.

Ester went through a ritual of cleaning and polishing before she was presented to the king. Did he choose her because she was clean and shiny? Of course not!
I would say that the Holy Spirit baptism saves not water. But I think water is part of the physical representation of this, and so should be done...... though I stress, not essential.
