The Garden of Eden

Why did God evict Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden?

2 Corinthians 11:3 New International Version
But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

1 Timothy 2:14 New International Version
And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.

Eve's big mistake was debating theology with the serpent. Eve was created after the orders given to Adam, the Scriptures do not record how she had access to the orders, the fact is that she was mistaken in telling the serpent that the tree in the middle of the garden (Tree of life) could not be eaten and worse, he added words to God's mouth saying that they couldn't even touch it, God didn't say that to Adam. So, after this dark debate, Eve, having already exchanged the positions of the trees for the cunning of the serpent in her mind, when walking through the garden, she comes across the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and free from any weight of conscience, as this was not in the middle of the garden, eat and give to Adam.

The serpent, through cunning, inverted the order of the trees in EVA's mind.

Genesis 3:2-3 KJV
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Genesis 2:9 says, "And out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."

You need to understand history as it actually happened. This is still taught incorrectly today...

I believe not one woman has accused me. I believe it is because I have very little money am not well known and am not running for president.
I think it has way, way, way, way more to do with the fact that you simply don't sexually assault women. Or am I wrong about that?

Muffled

Jesus in me
its a fruit, an inanmate object, a thing. Things are ethically neutral.

But lets pretend this fruit was evil....Are you are saying that God placed something evil in the garden?
I am not saying that the fruit is evil. I am saying it is caple of opening the mind to evil. I believe God is apt to test people by having tha tavailable and he did nothing to keep the serpent out of the garden either. I believe the sinfulness of man was already there when he was created and the test was to see if man could overcome it.

if so then the test was designed to be one that could not be passed. To pass the test one would first need to have the knowledge of good and evil.

The fruit is a literary device. It is a metaphor for human beings evolving a conscience.

I believe it is a question of opening the mind as LSD has been known to do. It is not so much the evil in the device as it is the evil in the person partaking of it.
Not only is LSD not evil, people who take LSD are not evil. Stupid? Sure. Stupid is not the same as evil.

Psychedelics are being used to treat many psychological conditions.
I wouldn't call people who take them stupid.
Absolutely. But there is a difference between a patient taking LSD as a prescribed medication for a genuine condition under medical supervision, and people using it recreationally. Before it was outlawed, there were all sorts of nightmarish stories of people ending up in hospitals and sometimes even dead due to bad trips.
