The gift of tears

I shed tears today and it was great relief...last time I shed tears was may 23, 2017....so it's been over a year...it felt great!

It makes me envious of women. Some of them anyway, can cry so easily and frequently...

Do you feel better when tears start flowing? I'm actually amazed at the difference it makes...

Do you have a song to share that is most likely to make you cry?

I like this one:

I hate crying. I cry a lot due to brain issues, seizures, surgery, so have you. Messes up my interaction with people. Though, I can see why its also relieving. I love music with a passion. Born. Live. Die with music. I guess piano instrumental. Hallaulah is beautiful and Ave Maria. I have too many to list. I usually take off my headphones crossin the street. When that "note" hits, my body goes nuts.

I do not cry freely. But, if I cry I do feel much better. I think that if I could cry easily my husband would not have been so mean to me. :(

I needed a good cry. I found a book just when I really, really, very much needed to have a cry to relieve that awful pressure. I read it and it made me cry better than I have in a long time.

You mentioned Gaslighting some time back. My father used it a lot.
When I was 5 years old I cried. He said "man don't cry; that is weakness".

My experience is that people using gaslighting technique use "crying" against you.
Since you mentioned this I have been thinking about this a few times
People who use this technique have no compassion in them; hurting is what they like best

Gaslighting is really bad; those people are really mentally and emotionally ill

What you discribe isnt gaslighting in itself.

I know.

It only showed that he sees crying as weakness.
Being narcissist he would use my weakness against me
So to avoid more pain, one suppresses emotions

Good to know the reason one can't cry freely
Good to know that nothing what happened is our fault

So easy to think "If I would have done different .. he would have less mean"
Some people are too much messed up that they can't help to just hurt
Others are just too nice for this world. That's all I was trying to say.
