who created evil?Humanity came to be able to know good and evil.
Free will, ability to chose between good and evil - humans became like gods.who created evil?
so it's us humans who created evil. God taken by a surprise then???Free will, ability to chose between good and evil - humans became like gods.
Why surprise? Situation was pre-designed, humans brain can be bicameral or introspective.so it's us humans who created evil. God taken by a surprise then???
Then we are a mistake by birth. Why surprise? Situation was pre-designed, humans brain can be bicameral or introspective.
So already having Christ consciousness, they would have still been able to be tricked and deceived?
SomeThen we are a mistake by birth.
....
The Christian god is evil. It is the author of evil.
Not some. all. according to orthodox all humans inherit the first sin of adam and eve. so adam and eve made a mistake. Some
Those who can understand only on primitive literal level? By far not all.Not some. all. according to orthodox all humans inherit the first sin of adam and eve. so adam and eve made a mistake.
the ''not all'' means that some are ''saved''Those who can understand only on primitive literal level? By far not all.
Adam wasn't tricked or deceived. Next question?
Remember that we're dealing with two different cultural lenses here. The God of the Hebrew texts is also a kind God. God was being written about by people with a more limited world view, and a smaller perspective of what constituted "God's kingdom." In this culture, a God who killed the enemy and smote the unrighteous was considered to be "taking care of God's people," and doing loving acts toward them. The God of the NT was from the perspective of the Pax Romana.Writing from a Christian perspective:
When it comes to judging God’s character I think there’s a distinction to be made between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament (personified by Jesus Christ) – these are two different personas of the same being
I think the God of the Old Testament did what he had to do in that era so that humankind could advance into an era with a much kinder God, for the rest of history
I believe that the NT God is more representative of God's true character
I personally am thankful to God
You "small is the gate and narrow the road"? There is no 'wholesale' salvation.the ''not all'' means that some are ''saved''
to be honest, christian evilness and goodness confuse me. oh well! but thank you for the posts! they made me see that the christian God is not an evildoer. You "small is the gate and narrow the road"? There is no 'wholesale' salvation.
Ah, blaming the woman for it all and reason for all ‘sin.’
Either way, if ‘Adam’ was literal and had ‘Christ consciousness’ as you say, he must have been pretty gullible and naive then. Rendering that kind of consciousness not very useful if that were the case.
The Golden Rule.to be honest, christian evilness and goodness confuse me. oh well! but thank you for the posts! they made me see that the christian God is not an evildoer.
nay....so adam and eve made a mistake.
It would be amusing, if it wasn't so sad, the excuses some are making for the disgusting behaviour attributed to the god character in the Bible.
