How do you know that your myth goes back to the neolithic? There was no writing then: that's why we call it prehistoric...

My feeling is that we spend way too much time trying to figure out a single strand of mythology, a single story common to all early cultures...when I don't think that's really how it was.

If there ever was such a story, I suspect it would predate our species.
