10 votes and apparently I'm the only hippy in here so far.
Once upon a time I use to have to move my hair out of the way to make sure I didn't sit on it. :p That was when I was a kid though basically. In my twenties I kept my hair more like this:

I have my roots in hippie-dom, but my hair is mostly gone except for a few that wander over my head and a bunch on the sides.

Depends: were you listening to the Grateful Dead while you were shaving?
Nah, sorry. I have a grand total of one RL mate who's a Dead-Head, and he's a transplanted American, funnily enough.
More a child of the 90's, mate. Seattle, etc. Hence the period of non-cutting.

Buzz cuts are cool. I used to buzz my hair until just shaving it off.
I haven't been quite ballsy enough to just get rid of it once and for all. Head shape is okay, but I have some scars from sports. Dunno if they'll show better or worse if I go completely bald.

That's one more than I have atm. :p

tbh, the whole Grateful Dead scene always looked better form a distance.

Still like the music though.

My hair is long and a few inches below my shoulders. Probably gonna get a few inches cut in a couple months though before it gets too long and I give myself whiplash tossing in bed and having my head snapped back from laying on my hair. I might try and actually get it styled, but I have no idea what kind of style.

Wow, I could swear we've met, Draka. Problem is, any time in my past that I was around other hippies, those memories would be . . . let's say: kind of foggy. :D

Nah, I never cut my hair either. Genetic programing, however, prohibits it from going beyond a certain length, which apparently is not in the "long" category according to the poll. *shrug*

Got my hair (including my beard) buzzed down to 1/4" last week. I used to hate my hair really short but now I like it short all the time TBH.

I can't be bothered much with hair. I have it. It's short. Messy.

In my later teens I dyed it every colour I could think of. And I've had the odd skinhead and hawk.

Hi everybody.
I buzz cut my hair to No4 for twenty years for various reasons, but mostly because I wore wigs!
I used to visit stores and industrial premises to test their security awareness, procedures and responses, and because my visits to each premises were usually every couple of months I needed to change my appearance. There wasn't enough money in the contracts for operatives to travel long distances to other areas. After failing tests and inspections and getting balled-out, managers used to put my description around their teams!
I now have short silvery hair, and haven't got a bald spot yet.

I bet I look more beautiful than Revolting. :D

My hair is a constant changing feature. My husband calls me a chameleon. Naturally it's ash blonde, fine and in between straight and wavy. Really annoying because I have to style it no matter what.

But right now it's shoulder length and bright unnatural fire engine red, although faded. Got a big of regrowth though, I'll have to think of what to do with it. Only thing I know is that I want it long, like middle of the back or so. :D

Currently shoulder length. I let my hair grow grow grow until it is past my waist, and then I chop it all off to donate to Locks of Love every couple of years. I'm blessed with extremely fast-growing hair - though I used to think it was a curse when I used to shave half my head back in my college days.

Thick, straight, with parts that are wavy.

Shoulder length. My daughter and me at her UofO graduation in June of 2010. My hair looks just the same but maybe a tad darker.
At first, I wondered how one graduates from a UFO?

Btw, I'm impressed at how sophisticated all you posters are! Not one person has broached the subject of the carpet matching the drapes. Kudos!
