The Hate You Give and BLM.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Well, yep.
But now the whole World knows what BLM means, and why it was painted on plaques.
I'd be more receptive if the suspect didn't have an established history of violence and alcoholism.

King wasn't a nice man himself but it can be argued why he was that way in the first place.

I was brought up in St Pauls in Bristol, when I was 18 I had to drive all my mates around if we were going out, black lad driving, police would stop us, nearly every time. And that was the least of it.
It's probably because of gang warfare I'm guessing where groups would drive around in cars looking for trouble.

Its like that in my area.

One thing I'll admit is when you have the suspect under control, the assault should immediately stop. So much could be avoided if officers didn't react like they are out of control and not thinking straight.

Its a sad truth that a black mother or father must teach their children from a young age how they must behave and follow every order from the police whether or not they have done anything wrong. We all, regardless of race, ought to follow that same advice, but that's difficult to do if you believe, with good reason, that your life is threatened in any event.

Yeah. I had a middle eastern mate in the eighties who had a high pressure, high pay job with posh car. Oh boy did he ever get stopped as a probable car thief .

That's one thing that caught me off guard when I first heard of it.

"The talk"

If anything, it showed me that there are differing standards that need rectifying if we are going to call ourselves a civilized society.

You either want offenders rehabilitated or you don't.
Each case and incident should be taken on its own merits, and cops should wear body armour for protection and to give time for warnings to be called.
Where anybody is shot without need then their past should not vindicate police mistakes.

True.
Some cops seem to think that they punish offenders...... they don't. Courts do that.
Some cops seem to think that they try and convict offenders.... they don't. Courts do that.
