What do you think about it, what problems do you find with the idea?
Create a human cultural identity rather then a national one (which in my oppinion makes a lot more sense, then nationalism, which is little more then glorified tribalism)
IMO: There are various types of world government. In general, I believe that any kind of world government is a bad idea. But, the problem is not government itself, the problem is the natural human tendency to exploit others. It doesn't matter what type of government it is (capitalism, socialism, or communism), humans will always try to exploit, harm, and dominate others with narcissistic/antisocial tendencies. Socialist/democratic forms of government can only curb this parasitic tendency to a certain degree, and for a certain amount of time. In time however, a few will always rise to exploit the many (unless if we entirely reconstruct our social, political, and economic systems to directly address such tendencies from the ground up). In the long run, all a world government does is hand over the world's entire resources to a small elite few.
Superimposing one culture upon humanity is analogically the same as destroying the biodiversity of an ecosystem. There are benefits to be had by having a diversity of ideas, beliefs, values, and opinions, which I think far outweighs the "benefit" of having what is basically
group think on a global scale.
I think you can enforce things, if you have enough fire power.
You give people enough exposure to a good thing, while stopping them from being violent against it (in their ignorance of course) then they will start to see the good.
This statement stinks of ignorance, ethnocentrism, and neocolonialism. Do you really think anyone is going to see "the good" when foreign people are carrying around weapons? What image do you think that automatically invokes under most circumstances? One of control and tyranny.
