I guess many of you know I am an electrical contractor. Our next project is a Masjid in a near by town. The customer is a well respected heart doctor who just happens to be a Muslim. He is a very nice man and has embraced the American way of life.
We have built many medical offices for him in the past and he is fast becoming a commercial real estate investor as well as a heart specialist.
Anyway, the pipe fitters found a small gold plated coin in a presentation case on top of their pipes on the job site which is just in the foundation and slab stage. It was a KKK coin.
Now most of us contractors look at this as just another building. It would seem that the KKK wants to intimidate us. Personally, I believe in religious freedom and this doctor has every right to a house of worship just like the rest of us.
I would bet that if this KKK member had a heart attack he would be happy to let the Doc fix his heart and save his life. I guess he does not think the good Doc has the right to a place of worship.
This could get interesting, because construction workers are not easily intimidated.
The last time the klan showed it's face near here was back in the 60's and our citizens ran them out of town. The Klan had guns, but so did the town folks. There was more of us than there was of them.
