Apparently I wasn't very good at it last night. Well...I didn't have the heart to do it (and it wouldn't have worked, anyway.)
By the time I got to him, he was stretched out on the couch, looking really exhausted. I offered to give him a foot rub, instead.

Corn bread will do just fine with red beans, if quinoa is what you're missing -- and I'm going to overlook the terrible faux pas, and hardly even mention how embarrassed you should be for using that instead of rice with your red beans.
If you are missing red beans, too, then your win was obtained with a material misrepresentation -- which renders it null and void.
