I just had a carolina reaper gumball, a gumball packing 1.5+ million scovilles. After the Toe of Satan, this peper's heat level is more like "carolina chill."

Yes, and no. The Toe of Satan is sucker that is made with chili pepper extract. These gumballs are made with carolina reaper peppers.
My mouth has had its daily dose of shock treatment.

It feels like the second gumball may have burnt the roof of my mouth. I'm not entirely sure, as it's not painful, but it kind of slightly is and it has that burnt texture.
