Winning after turning down an interview for a job that would be a promotion. They were a bit disingenuous....The canvas letter gave the address of the job as being in the city I work in now. However the actual address was 150 miles away.... don't want to move and it is to much of a commute....besides they were not exactly honest as to the location of the position..... how honest will they be to work for
Those would have been extreme danger signs to me as well.

I'll be applying for a state job as soon as I figure out how to access the exams on the California jobs website, figure out what all the crap it's saying means, and get my ****ing license in the mail.
I have two more days, and then if I need glue my stuff isn't getting fixed for awhile.

All large bureaucracies, public or private, are typically unclear and use 5 words when one will do. My favorite is still a stamp that said "effectuate the necessary action" which meant "process this" or "fix this" depending on circumstances. Another is that a multipage form we had to fill out was reviewed by flunkies in India whose job it was to make sure we filled out the form correctly. The first was government. The second a major corporation.

I just made a winning discovery that since I do have conditions that qualify as being disabled, I shouldn't, from what I've had, have to worry so much about getting work and then getting royally ****ed by medical expenses due to a high-deductible insurance due to Indiana having blanket "no excuses allowed" cut off from HIP. I'd have a couple thousand dollars in my pocket still had I not been cut off from HIP.
It's a nice feeling being medically needy and seeing this state seems to not make going to full time work as scary - at least, that is, if you can check several conditions in the "disabled" thingy. I've actually been scared that if I get full time work here I'll be ****ed again because I need to go to the doctor more often than most other people.
I still wonder why IBD is considered a disability but not IBS? With just the one I get a hefty blending of the symptoms of both Chron's disease and ulcerative colitis.
But that 250 Working Disabled program seems very nice. I'll have to learn more about it tomorrow.

It's not even bureaucratic stuff. But here is some of the stuff that has me confuzzled:
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available). SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply.
I have no idea what any of that stuff is.
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678
Having some trouble finding this Form 678.
