Let's just hope that it is a contained one and not a wild fire.
They, yes plural, are wild. The smoke out my window is pretty bad, unhealthy even. Down south, it's worse. The CA public health twitter account has a "how to wear a mask properly" text and images.

The wood stove is still broken, though, it isn't so cold yet for it, and the X will not answer the phone (probably because he is mad at me like a seven year old might be) so I can get the phone number of the man who might repair it for me.

I think you could do with a little less drama of that kind.

So, I suppose because California wildfires were news already this year that they are not so newsworthy a second time?

I can't speak to where you are, but they are as newsworthy as the fights over counting the ballots are out here.

And the EPA air quality web site airnow.gov is flooded with traffic and non-responsive.

But thanks for the opportunity to post and post. I need to take a shower and go out soon. Very soon actually. But not so soon that I might not get a few more posts in. We'll see.

I have let go of my tv service so I don't know much anymore.

TV news is a waste of time 99% of the time and just serves to get people upset and afraid.

I prefer text based news from a few services online that mostly have decent stories.

Oh where is the rain? We should be getting rain not flames.
Californiastan does nothing half way....
When it rains, it pours....& floods...& landslides.
When it doesn't rain, it droughts...& runs out of water...& burns.
And when it burns, it really really burns.

Texans think their state is bigger and better. We know ours is better at so many things including fires. And someday an earthquake. Floods we leave to others along with hurricanes and tornadoes. We don't want to be greedy.

Don't forget the mudslides.

Nobody can touch our mudslides.
