For some reason I don't understand, the computer booted up. All the internet instructions about how to boot a computer that is ill were useless because the computer would not boot so I could not run the stupid instructions that assumed I was trying to reboot from a working computer.

I'm on my way to winning but right now Chromebooks are winners

I don't have any direct evidence but I have a vague memory of a Microsoft update not working with certain firmware versions and causing problems. Well, all I have to say is Microsoft Windows loses.
