It sure is warm in there for a delusion.
The real delusion is the something for nothing delusion where a business gives away money or does not charge for stuff. That makes the whole thing a dream.
As @Polymath257 will tell you, thermodynamics says
there's no such thing as a free lunch. But on a small local
scale, the laws of thermodynamics are subject to statistical
anomalies, eg, Menards, which has free lunches.
The business world does not operate on those laws. Free lunches are not free - you pay for them one way or another, sooner or later.

Just bought a new phone. My old Google Pixel 1 is starting to die so I was about to order a Pixel 6 until I discovered they don't come with a charger, that's $49 extra. $999 for a phone with no charger!!! Anyway did some research and ended up buying a Realme 7 for $399. Supposed to be good according to the reviews except the camera isn't the best but I rarely use the phone camera. Hopefully it was a wise decision, I guess I'll find out when it comes.
