winning by finding out that my computer problems were caused by a slowly dying hard drive...or at least that's what the tech says...fortunately, I keep everything backed up in multiple locations, so I lose nothing by trashing the old drive for a new one...I will have to download several programs that I use, but that is much preferable if the device operates as it should...Tomorrow I should have my laptop back...
Whoever backs up data in multiple places wins.
My main computer has 2 hard disks, each of which
has 2 data areas & 2 program areas. So that's 4
locations on one machine. Each of those locations
has data & programs, plus back-ups. So a total of 8.
This is all backed up by USB drive to several other
machines.
