We used to have a fairly successful pub in our little town but most of their business was travellers passing through because the main highway between Sydney and Brisbane went through the middle of town. The pub mysteriously burnt down about 3 months after the by pass opened.

A case of "sorry to hear about your fire"...

"Shhh, it's not until next week"
