Actually fell for, "Is your refrigerator running" before I became sophistirated..

The first time I heard of the Prince Albert in a can prank was from an episode of Happy Days, when Richie and Potsie were going through the initiation to join the Demons. Doing a prank call was one of the Demon Dares.

They also had to stand up in a movie theater and sing "My Country Tis of Thee." And they surreptitiously tied a police officer's shoelaces together.

Oh. Truly, those were dark times. :(

But I’ve won now. So the world is a better place! :D
At least until some piece of worthless scum comes along and criminally steals my win from me, just like any fetid, worthless, steaming wet manure pile would. :(:(

Was 'Ralph Mouth' from Happy Days? I remember the 'time frame' that HDs was set in. Fonzie's wardrobe was accurate but in my neighborhood, those attired in that wardrobe were not good-hearted tough guys. They would openly claim " Elvis is our King" and vandalize(minimally) display cases or break glass bottles, etc....No one was quite as naive as Richie or Potsie. American cars were the main attraction, gas-guzzling 8 cylinder engines......Ford even offered a 427 engine...I believe the engine blocks were so heavy they reduced distance performance.....lol..
  • Gas rose about a cent or so per year until 1957 where gas was in its most remarkable period. From 1957 to 1969, prices at the pump only went up a total of 3.8 cents from 31 cents per gallon to 34.8 cents per gallon! Imagine 12 full years with a less than a 4 cent gain

Fonzie's middle name was Herbert.

I grew up more in the hippie era, but there were also plenty of delinquents and criminals making mischief.
