We have a LOT of people who refuse to take the drought seriously. I'm reminded of archeology findings about what happened to the cultures of the time when faced with that. If that happened today, CO and NV could go to war over what little water there is available.

We are just so used to our little luxuries like water on tap.

a geologist/geographer tell me, about 12 years ago, the next thing to really worry about starting a war over...will likely be water
