But he still can't say "pasta". Looking into the history of carbonara it may have been made originally with American streaky bacon. The dish showed up only after WWII and there were tales of a American soldiers taking their rations from home to Italian restaurants so that they could cook them some food. And bacon and eggs were something that the GI's would get that was still rather difficult for Italians to get at that time. Shortly after WWII was when carbonara first appeared in Roman restaurants.

I'm also theoretically a "silent" but I identify with BOOMers. Would I be legal in Florida since I don't identify with my birth category?
