A bit early to be claiming success, still plenty of time for it to fall down.
It's a very wet good morning from France. But so far not very windy win

My wife is home and all things considered, doing well....My daughter is really the one doing the heavy lifting. My wife's health problems are a real trial for the family..Like many moms my wife was the cornerstone and the do everything for everybody person for so many years. Age and illnesses can change everything but life goes on.....
Wind is not too bad, a bit gusty but we can live with it.
Rain wise, heavy down pours for half an hour followed by sunshine. Interestingly the wind gets much stronger just before the rain.

I guess if we make it that far we all have age to contend with. All the best to your wife and you look after her well, she's looked after you for a long time

Trouble with weathermen, the weather sometimes doesn't agree with them
Most of the bad weather came from the US, carried on the jetstream for free. It should have been warm and wet. But it met up with a cold storm heading south from the arctic and northern Europe.
Not a good combination.
The jetstream is why this part of Europe usually enjoys mild weather but climate change has been shaking the stream about like the tail of an angry cat.
So it's kind of unpredictable more than a few days ahead.
I bought a jar of honey at the market last Sunday. Nothing new there, but this is a honey we haven't tried before. Miel de Miellat. The beekeeper told me about it. It's very dark, and strong, forest honey with tree sap.
Tonight for dessert we had pears rosted in honey.
An absolute winner.
