I don't know what a NAS is.

Never nind the silliness, it means network attached storage. Basically a unit with 1 or more hard drives attached to the network somewhere out of the way. It is constantly updated so If disaster strikes you can restore from the nas

If disaster does strike, we should all be properly grateful to the National Association of Seadogs.

That's a terrible run of bad luck. Hope it's finished with now.

You are a the only other person i know who uses a nas at home. Interesting but not really a "who uses a nas?" thread
Thanks for the hope. It's better than having a lot of physical issues. I prefer things going wrong to body parts misbehaving.

I got a cheap NAS as part of a group that was deciding what to use for a nonprofit. Having RAID 1 (one disk out of a pair can fail with no loss of data is a great place for a backup and I'm paranoid about backups given my past IT horror shows.)

Better than bubbles.
Try singing this song and see if you feel better

I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air,
They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams they fade and die.
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air.

I think my mom used to sing that sometimes.

You're right, I like the first one.
