Its a vacation pic from the Vancouver trip

Vancouver is named after this guy:

Vancouver Island, the city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Vancouver River on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Vancouver, Washington in the United States, Mount Vancouver on the Canadian–US border between Yukon and Alaska, and New Zealand's fourth-highest mountain, also Mount Vancouver,[1] are all named after him.

My guess is that Vancouver will be remembered long after Van Morrison and Van Halen are forgotten.

Wonder if he thought one day his city would be full of homeless folks and have major drug issues

Sounds like most cities over a certain population.
I saw the largest homeless population I have ever seen in Vancouver. Larger than any other city I have been in recently, and that includes Toronto, Montreal, Boston, NYC, Orlando, just to name a few

Started physical therapy on Mr Hand today.
(Stitches removed yesterday.)
This will be a whole lotta work to get things
healing properly. Never expected that.

The good news!
It will take some of my time away from posting.
Glad to hear it went well..... hope it heals well..... take your time... no hurry to get back to posting....just relax...take it easy..... and we all know you are good at that ya retired deadbeat

Got off the phone with the pharmacy for a med/insurance issue. Thought I'd mention Sam has trouble picking up Ares's meds from the night guy, and we are getting the impression its because of his appearance.

The guy I talked to is the guy dripping with Pagan jewelry and facial piercings, working alongside the guy covered in tattoos with reptile contacts. He was quite polite, but said he was struggling to understand what went on, because they don't withhold meds because people look funny. I said I wouldn't have believed it myself, based on the diversity in the pharmacy, but I heard it, because I was on the phone.

First they told him there was no prescription sent in. I gave him the prescriber name, time, and office. He told them. Then they said "Yeah, we see it, but someone already picked that up. You can't get more until next month." I made him insist it most certainly had not been picked up. They went back and forth about it, and then the person decided she/he(don't remember) did see it in there, and they decided to release it.

The guy on the phone(who's really a great employee) said he'd check into it, but was really surprised and just couldn't imagine which one of them would do that. All I could give him was it happened around closing.

Good grief that sucks.

Its annoying. I just wanted to leave a note on file that Ares's dad looks weird and generally picks up stuff late, but that he's harmless. I wasn't expecting a drawn out conversation.
I think it was last evening? You mentioned "Don't get sick" was you insurance policy.......I was looking int prices here, for insurance for those under retirement age......For the individual it was between $775 and $950 depending on deductibles and insured items. Dies that seem accurate to you?
