I actually did.

Well, not his. His has pink feathers on it. The silver one that Ares found in a car wash was actually setting right next to me, and I did hold it out for him.
I've never understood that "I worked" thing. Ya, for most jobs a couple hours rest is fair but they aren't that hard. People like roofers and ER workers are the ones who get to use that excuse. Me too, but I'm carrying donor times largely on my own shoulders (my coworkers are often shocked and surprised when they realize how much amd how fast I'm actually getting things done) (when I'm on sets I reduce the avergae time for those because I'm so fast amd get so much done it reduces the time for sticks to 2-3 minutes and jumping in for the occasional disconnect keeps those times below 10 minutes, not to mention the stocking and organizing I do to keep things going smoothly).
My revenge on them when I quit is thier donor wait times are going to surge back up. They just don't have anyone else who does as much as I do, as fast as I do and very likely won't find a replacement.

Great example. When there's two people running a section there's only supposed to be 8 donors. When it's just me doing sets amd disconnects certain managers will kick it up to 10 (a full section is 12). It pisses me off, I start cussing, but step it up because I can't take it out on the donor and I'm too busy to say anything about it then.
Yeah, it's not my frequent cussing which some of the managers really hate (if amything, its cussing out the hand dryer in the employee restrooms for not working well), it's not saying those like I stab people for a living and Jason and Chucky taught me well, it's not the back which is becoming more frequent that got me wrote up, it's not even the ways I violate dress code or the violent sticker on my tea jug that got me wrote up, it was a numbers things over getting hurt that got me hurt wrote up.

Just quoting this again because you're one of four people I got an alert from today who I want to talk to. Everybody else, and it was many responses and I simply ingored them as they are those who basically serve to up my post and like count.

Your friendly neighbourhood Aussie is still here, in between watching V8 seldom cars and the Newcastle North Stars getting flogged in ice hockey.

Distracted by hot cars, easy to do and winning in it's way so long as they aren't Holdens, that's definitely looooosing.

And i hope you've finished the pantry.

I guess I get the "I worked" thing to an extent. Like, you just walk in the door, you don't want to jump up and do the dishes.

I don't get "I worked yesterday, so I don't want to move from this chair the entire day."

I think for this one, its self pity. A friend and him were trying to pick a day for something, and he said "well, I have this day off, so lets do it then. I don't want to do it after work." She said she worked the day he picked, and also didn't want to do it after work. "Why is that a problem?" he asked. "You don't want to do it after work, why do you think I would?" His response: "Well, my job is more difficult, and I work harder than you."

He was really lucky he didn't get decked.

You're right, they likely won't find a replacement. I don't understand why its so hard for them to appreciate you. I'm sorry. :(
