I just about fell over nothing.
You okay?
If by ‘fall for,’ you mean ‘fall because of,’ then the answer is yes, as long as it is not just anything.

Eek. I’m glad you did not fall.
Me too. I don't need another bump or bruise.

However, near falling on toy cars is a common event here. Yudhi is not very good about putting his toys away. In his mind, he's not done with them yet.

I just about fell over nothing.

I do that often enough when I'm not falling over cats.

Story time.

We'd recently adopted a new kitten, we named her Cleo. (sadly she lost an argument with a speeding car).
Hubby got up to use the toilet during tje night, he didn't turn any lights on an wound up tripping over the cat. He yelled out an expletive.

Next morning over breakfast the children asked "what did dad shout out last night"

My quick as a flash spoonerism was "cooking fat"

And so Cleo was renamed

That sounds excellent. However, I am going to a recital this evening so I probably should not show up drunk. Or even tipsy, which I would get after one alcoholic beverage.

Enjoy your recital, you don’t need alcohol to have a good time, the pub is more than that, well maybe some is ok ;-)
