That's what I do! I find it makes for a richer, more delicious soup.Important question: Do you add milk or water to condensed tomato soup? I'm a milk man.

I don't hold personal taste against anyone, but I rather enjoy it. I've had it with a bit of spice to give it heat and I like that too. But milk or even cream really adds to it. More body. My parents and relatives of that generation came from the "Pale" which included modern Ukraine but as I remember, my relatives came from what is now BelorussiaIt was the beet kind of borscht. Turns out that is Ukrainian according to Wikipedia.
