I am not ready to buy a PS3 yet (I want backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2 before I do that), but when I decide to, I will have to get Disgaea 3 the exact same day.

Well I've got bad news... latest PS3s aren't backwards compatible. Sony has decided to drop that feature.

It is a pity - the older PS3's have that feature, but they cost much more than what I think a console should be worth. I'm willing to wait until they put the feature back into the PS3 and buy it then, as long as it is reasonably priced.

Sony shot itself in the stomach when it went with blue-ray in the PS3 and has been dying a slow painful death ever sense. When you have to give a product a price lower than it's cost in order to keep the product in demand you know you've done something wrong. Common sense business 101, never sell at a price that is less than what you paid to make the product. At the very least cost and price should be equal.
