"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Besides the first 10 there is a number 11,12,13,14 etc. up to over 600.
We are not under the Mosaic shadow laws of Moses that include circumcision and the shadow laws of atonement that include all the shadow laws of the earthly Sanctuary and the Levitical Priesthood in the new covenant that make up most of the 613 commands of the old testament. These were all shadow laws of things to come pointing to Jesus and Gods work of salvation for all mankind in the new covenant scriptures and are all now fulfilled in Christ to who they pointed to. These shadow laws of Moses however is not Gods eternal laws of good and evil (the 10 commandments) that were spoken and written with Gods own finger. Everyone of Gods 10 commandments are repeated in the old and the new covenant as the standard of Christian living to give us the knowledge of good and right doing when obeyed and sin and evil when disobeyed (see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and Psalms 119:172. There are 10 commandments in Gods law of good and evil that God spoke and wrote on two tables of stone that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken not 613 and that is what the scriptures say here in Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 4:13; Deuteronomy 10:4; Exodus 20:1:17; Exodus 31:18) and are Gods eternal standard of right and wrong, good and evil, sin and right doing and everyone of them are repeated in the new covenant as Gods standard of Christian living. According to James in James 2:10-11 and John in 1 John 3:4 breaking anyone of Gods 10 commandments is sin according to the new covenant scriptures.
While under the Law Jesus obeyed the Golden Rule of Leviticus 19:18
The two great commandments of love are simply summing up obedience to Gods 10 commandments from a new heat that loves which is what Gods new covenant promise is and is why Jesus says "On these two commandments (love to God and man) hang all the law and the prophets." (see Matthew 22:36-40). Jesus was quoting old testament scripture from Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18. (see also post # 3400 linked).
Since Pentecost Christians are under the Law of Christ - Galatians 6:2
See above. Christ does not have a separate law to the law of love and obeying Gods Word.
Now under the 'Law of Christ' Christians are under Christ's Law as found at John 13:34-35; John 15:12
No one is under the law of Christ if they are breaking Gods 10 commandments as this is the same law that is not separate from how loves is expressed and why Jesus says on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. If you break Gods 10 commandments then it only shows you are not following the law of Christ and are still in your sins and unbelief.
The Law of Christ is to have the same self-sacrificing love for others as Jesus has.
The law of Christ is love to God and neighbor on which all the law and the prophets hang (Matthew 22:36-40). If we are breaking anyone of Gods 10 commandments we are standing guilty before God of sin and death and are still in our sins showing we do not love God or our fellow man and need to repent and confess our sins and seek Gods forgiveness of sins and need to be born again through faith to walk in newness of life.
In other words, Christians are to Now love neighbor MORE than self. More than the old Golden Rule.
See above. According to the scriptures, love is not separate from obeying Gods 10 commandments. Love is expressed in obedience to what Gods Word says not disobedience. That is the very definition of what sin is according to the scriptures (see Matthew 22:36-40; James 2:10-11 comp. 1 John 3:4 and 1 John 2:3-4 and 1 John 5:2-4).

Take Care.

What was creative about providing you scripture context to answer your question. Its there for anyone to read. Its called believing what the bible says.

I noticed you are still avoiding my questions Kenny? Before I continue answering your questions, perhaps you should consider showing some courtesy in answering my questions as well. Especially if I have been answering your questions. Is it because you are unwilling to or do not know the answer? I am happy to answer my own questions for you if it is helpful. If I answer your question in regards to Cornelius now will you answer my questions to you and then believe what is shared with you from the bible? If you read the full context and chapter of Acts 10 you will see that Cornelius fulfilled all the conditions of Acts 2:28 because God does not give His Spirit to those who do not obey Him (Acts 5:32). Let me know if you need a complete break down of Acts 10 to help you see this. Happy to help you here.
So… we don’t need to be baptized in water before we receive the Holy Spirit although we should get baptized in water.
And we have to obey God by receiving Jesus into our hearts.

I think we agree.

As posted earlier genuine saving faith believes and obeys what Gods Word says (James 2:15-26) and God only gives His Spirit to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32). As long as we believe and obey Gods Word by repentance of sin and believing and obeying what Gods Word says God will give us His Spirit. Baptism is only an outward declaration of this happening in the life of someone that has genuine saving faith and a public declaration of an inward experience like marriage. No one therefore can receive Jesus into their hearts if they do not believe and obey what Gods word says. Believing and obeying what Gods Word says is how we receive Jesus into our heart.

Here let me show you in your Cornelius question out of good faith and we can continue our chat. Cornelius was informed by an angel of God in a vision to send for Peter so that he could find out from Peter what God required him to do in order to be saved (Acts 10:1-6; Acts 11:13-14). Notice Acts 10:6 very carefully: "He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He [referring to Peter the apostle] will tell you what you must do." When Peter arrived, Cornelius said, "we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God" (Acts 10:25-33). Following the instruction of God's angel, Cornelius was seeking the commands of God. Peter told Cornelius, "whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him" (Acts 10:34-35). Peter further told Cornelius that he was commanded by God to preach Jesus as Judge of the living and the dead and that Cornelius must believe in Jesus in order to receive forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:42-43). Finally, Peter commanded Cornelius and his household to be immersed (Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:11-12) in water (for the remission of sins, Acts 2:38; Acts 10:34,35,48; Acts 22:16). Therefore the commandments of fearing God, working righteousness, believing in Jesus, and being immersed in water were to be obeyed in order to be saved. Baptism is only an outward declaration of an inward experience that has already happened through repentance of sin and believing and obeying what Gods Word says but according to the scriptures, baptism was still carried out so Cornelius and his household fulfilled all the conditions of Acts 2:38 for receiving the Holy Spirit because he believed and obeyed what Gods Word says and had genuine saving faith.

Hope this helps.

Ok… maybe we aren’t far from each other. A lot has to do with how you are expressing yourself in the writing, which I can have problems with too in trying to express myself.

Not to bog down with multiple questions that will make it too extensive....

Yes, we should follow what God’s word says and, if you will, obey. Where I am having difficulty with is what you mean by this or, if I can express it a little better,

1) to what extent are you saying “obey”.
2) And, if you repent, does that mean if you weren’t “obeying” before, you could receive the Holy Spirit when your heart it ready to obey henceforth.
3) What happens when you disobey after you have received the Holy Spirit

Believing Gods Word comes first and genuine saving faith leads us to obey what Gods Word says. (see Hebrews 11:6; Romans 14:23; Matthew 7:21-23; James 2:15-26)
2) And, if you repent, does that mean if you weren’t “obeying” before, you could receive the Holy Spirit when your heart it ready to obey henceforth.
Kenny can you rephrase this question? I am finding it a little hard to understand what exactly you are asking in this question here and do not want to misunderstand what you are saying. Repentance is a changing of mind to turn away from sin. According to the scriptures sin is defined as the transgression of Gods law and not believing and obeying His Word (see 1 John 3:4 and Romans 14:23). So a turning away from sin means to obey Gods law and believe and obey Gods Words by faith that works by love through the Spirit of God. Repentance means to turn away from your sins because sin is what separates us from God and His Spirit (presence) *see Proverbs 28:13; Isaiah 59:2.
3) What happens when you disobey after you have received the Holy Spirit
Kenny it is not Gods will that we sin but if any man sins we have an advocate with the father in Jesus and if we repent and confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us for our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (see 1 John 2:1; Proverbs 28:13 and 1 John 1:9).

Let me use a biblical example… the woman who washed the feet of Jesus with her tears. She wasn’t obeying God’s word before but gave her heart to Jesus. In your understanding, did she qualify?

Seems we are much more in agreement then Kenny if you believe that saving faith believes Gods Word which leads us to obey what Gods Word says. I see the woman who washed Jesus feet with her tears as a sinner like you and me who repented of her sins and gave her life to Jesus. So she fulfills the conditions of believing and obeying what Gods Word says. Since we are in so much agreement now which is great, if we are to love God is not loving God and our fellow man expressed as obeying His commandments?

To be honest, I need you to rephrase the question. It isn’t quite clear

Why did you need to rephrase it Kenny? Its ok if you want to though. Did I not respond to it correctly?
I think I was pretty straight forward and declared in good faith when I said “It isn’t quite clear”. Is there a reason you can’t say it again but with different words instead of being combative?

No I was just asking you a question for clarification. How was that being combative? That was never on my mind. Go ahead and rephrase the question again if you like.

Oh well since we are in agreement that genuine saving faith is believing Gods Word that leads us to obey what Gods Word says can you now see that Gods new covenant promise of having Gods laws written in our heart through love is how we obey Gods law? For example if I love my fellow man will you steal or kill them?

Correct. So we now follow the NT laws of the New Covenant that replaces the Mosaic Laws of the TaNaKh. The Cross and the resurrection eliminated some of the Mosaic Law, kept some of the laws, and added a few.

I think we found agreement.

Kenny so you believe love is how we keep and obey Gods commandments right? So if I love God will I not make idols and bow down to them? Or if I love God I will not use Gods name in vain. That is what you believe too Kenny?

Absolutely.

Love is why we follow God. Not that we first loved Him but that He first loved us.

Absolutely. Love is why we follow God. Not that we first loved Him but that He first loved us.
So again if I love I will keep His seventh day Sabbath commandment to right Kenny? (exactly the same reasoning as above in all the posts you have already just agreed to).

That was one of the things that was enlarged - changed in the New Covenant

Today, our rest is not just a day but an eternity. Every day is my day of rest. Within that, you certainly can take Friday night to Saturday night and spend it with God.

I am in the eternal year of Jubilee. It is as if I am in Heaven but still on earth with His will being done in my life where every day is a day of faith and rest in God. :)

So thankful for His salvation (as I am sure you are too).

Isn’t it great to be serving our Lord?

Ok sure..... what do you think I have taken out of context? Can you please show me to help me to understand? I have only posted you questions about how love obeys Gods 10 commandments that you agreed with me.

What was exactly changed in the new covenant?
Today, our rest is not just a day but an eternity.
Where does it say in the scriptures Gods Sabbath commandment that is one of Gods 10 commandments that the new covenant tells us gives us a knowledge of what sin when broken (see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7 James 2:10-11 and 1 John 3:4) is now no longer a requirement for Christian living? Do you have any scripture that shows Gods 4th commandment of the 10 commandments from Exodus 20:8-11 that Jesus expected us to be still keeping just before the 2nd coming in Matthew 24:20 has now been done away and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day od rest in honor of the resurrection of Jesus?
Every day is my day of rest. Within that, you certainly can take Friday night to Saturday night and spend it with God.
Where does it say in the scriptures that we can now disregard Gods Sabbath commandment of the 10 commandments?
I am in the eternal year of Jubilee.

How can we do his will if we do not do not do what Gods Word says?

Well according to the scriptures we only serve God by believing and obeying what Gods Word says (genuine saving faith) that we both now agree on. How then can we be serving God if we do not keep His commandments that you agreed with me can only be obeyed by a new heart that loves?

I said you didn’t do it on purpose. I simply added what you forgot to quote.
What was exactly changed in the new covenant?

I think I just listed one of them. Here is another. Do people still sacrifice lambs? No. That part of the Law changed.
I think we have gone over this before as I listed many scriptures. Did you want me to list them again?

Where does it say in the scriptures that we can now disregard Gods Sabbath commandment of the 10 commandments?

I said every day is a Sabbath. I didn’t disregarded it, I enlarged it.
Where does it say in the scriptures we are now in the year of Jubilee?

Luke 4:18-20

New American Standard Bible

18 “(A)The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed,
19 (B)To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”

The study Bible will reference the following for “B”:

Isaiah 61:2 NASB
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
Leviticus 25:10 NASB
So you shall consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release throughout the land to all its...
How can we do his will if we do not do not do what Gods Word says?

But we do know what it says. - however, we must study to show ourselves approved.
Well according to the scriptures we only serve God by believing and obeying what Gods Word says (genuine saving faith) that we both now agree on. How then can we be serving God if we do not keep His commandments that you agreed with me can only be obeyed by a new heart that loves?

But I do… and if I miss it, I have an advocate and if I confess my sins he is faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
