The lord's prayer.And Lazarus and the rich man.

In Matthew 13:34 it says Jesus talked to people in parables only.But that would mean the lord's prayer in Matthew 6:9-14 is a parable too.If it is a parable.What is it's deeper meaning?I ask this and was thinking about Lazarus and the rich man.Being a parable of the type.That is the lord's prayer.

The Lord's prayer is not a parable, it was a prayer to God. Jesus didnt have to talk to his father in parables, that wouldnt even make sense. He spoke to people in parables for a reason, but not his disciples.

Was a crowd there?Because if there was.You still have to remember Matthew 13:34

There was no crowd there when Jesus was praying to his father. I think your making it into something else.....

In Matthew 5:1.It says there was a crowd.And this is right before Matthew 6.

If we are accurate, Matthew 13:34 says “….Jesus spoke all these things in parables…”. It does not say that everything he spoke was parables, because there is the “all these things”.

In Matthew 5:1.It says there was a crowd.And this is right before Matthew 6.

Ok, I think we're on the same page, lol.

There were many people, a very big crowd, but.... Jesus saw that and he left. He then went up into the mountain with his disciples. Alone with them.
He also taught his disciples how to pray. And that's the Lord's prayer. I actually thought you were talking about another prayer.... my bad...

So the Lord's prayer is that Jesus is showing the disciples how to pray and what to say.
