The man who never cheated

Attraction in his face, if you know what I mean, he kept his loyalty. Money lying around he kept his dignity. He has a child and she is more than beautiful. He had a wife he thought was precious and bountiful.

He strove for her life but he drank twice a week, he was gentle to approach yet he was not meek. He dreamed that he was what a woman would seek, but it seems his dream was just dream and bleak.

He earned about sixty thousand a year, and he had a house he thought he could bear. He could not buy her a diamond ring, but he did bring her what his might and life could bring.

Is it needed for a woman to love her man, a God, a tyrant, a dog to command. She has none, no God, no dog, no tyrant, but she has some money, and beauty, and a hydrant.

She hates him drinking, and he cant sneeze. He cant have a smoke in the bliss of a breeze. In the night he cant byte a few peanuts, because the sound can wake her and she would go nuts.

Sometimes he wishes his life will end. But his seed, lil thing, needs time to bend. What does this woman want in her life? And what should this man give his wife?

What would Jesus do (either as wife or as husband)?

The way this started out, I thought it was a eulogy for Charlie Watts.

Sounds close to home in some ways.
We should give our wives love and think of what they want.
It's unfortunate that what we see as our simple pleasures don't please our wives at times and in the end we have to leave those things behind and then if the bitterness settles down we realise that what we were hanging on to was not really worth it and we are better without it and our wife was an angel given to us by God.
OR A happy life,,,,,,,a happy wife.
Easier said than done sometimes.

Good question. What do you think?
He doesn't appear to have addressed this precise question, but as you'll have noticed, when in a corner he was good at tricky answers.

Still, he was raised in the Jewish faith, and Joseph is scarcely mentioned after his infancy, and according to the NT he fought with his mother and family ─ so putting those clues together, I suspect he'd have given an answer implying but not clearly stating that the male was head of the household.

Very good. Thanks.

Give her some space! Just my opinion!

Is it needed for a woman to love her man, a God, a tyrant, a dog to command.

A question that is not a question because no question mark. What is needed?

What does this woman want in her life? And what should this man give his wife?

My answer is of course based on my belief. And my experience being married over 50 years.

When ordinary life pales and differences loom large, the answer I found is love. I might like to byte peanuts and can't, but I can quietly nybble some occasionally.

In spite of all the sandpaper grinding and smoothing the wood of our egos or maybe because of it, we have come to love each other the way someone might love an old and ragged coat which has many wonderful experiences embedded in its fibers.

And as far as commanding a dog goes, this is how we command our dog:
