Personally, I think at the rate we're going, nobody will want it eventually, including neither the 'Meek' nor the 'Strong'. Hell, I live here and I can barely stand the place now. Seriously, if one more reality television series hits the airways, I'm catching the next cab to the Caribbean. We took a perfectly good country and effed it up completely. You know, at one time I used to have all the idealistic spit and fire of that young politician in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Hell, now I can't even stand to look at Jimmy Stewart without wanting to throw up.

I always thought it was a poetic phrase. The strong and proud will all kill each other leaving only the meek.

I suppose you could also say those who humble themselves to God or whatever will eventually inherit the earth, but I prefer the former interpretation.
