The Michael Jackson Case

Michael Jackson faced his young accuser across a Santa Maria courtroom again - this time wearing what appeared to be pyjamas.

The singer earlier faced arrest and the seizure of his $3m (£1.55m) bail bond after turning up late for court.

Jackson had been in hospital because of "serious back pain" and missed the start of the day's proceedings in his ongoing case. A warrant was issued for his arrest as a distinctly unimpressed Judge Melville threatened jail and the seizure of his bond unless he showed up.

Jackson turned up five minutes after the warrant became active looking frail, unsteady and in his pyjama bottoms.

But inside the court, Judge Melville chose not to take further action and it was business as usual as court resumed some 90 minutes late.

On the stand, Jackson's accuser occasionally glanced across at him as he described his alleged molestation. Asked whether the singer had ever touched him inappropriately he said he had been touched twice, "but I kind of feel like it was more the twice," he said.

He described how Jackson offered to show him how to masturbate. "He told me that if men didn't masturbate, they can get to a point where they might rape a girl or might become unstable," he said.

hi Jewscout;

I understand your feelings perfectly; I am sure that they are the same as most people's. The thing that worries me is why he became the way he did; from what I understand, Michael Jackson was abused as a child and is always trying to build 'the youth he never had' around him. There is a part of me that recognises the hurt that made him the way he is.:)

ok he was abused as a child...i've heard that too...and i feel for the man in that case...but that's not an excuse to do the things he did to those little kids...you can love children without "loving" children...it's disgusting!

Hi Jewscout;
:eek: obviously you are right, there's no doubt about that; but ought not his most peculiar upbringing and lifestyle be taken in to consideration ? I don't know, I always try very hard to understand. There are so many things that happen in life, when I think 'There but for the grace of God go I'.

hmmm
let me put it to you this way by bringing up some skeletons from my own family's closet...
My grandfather was the incarnation of evil...this is a man who gave into every evil horrible inclination that could have been put before him...A rampant violent perverted alcoholic in ways that not even HBO could depict in a late night documentary cause they wouldn't have the stomach for it...i won't go into details but probably anything your imagination can create w/ those circumstances in place are probably closer to the truth than you think...
long story short...my mother, aunts and uncle went through that and didn't come out messed up...so i don't believe this psycho babble crap that this is the reason he is the way he is...granted he was abused as a child and didn't experience his childhood because of fame and pressure but you know what...he's a grown man now w/ children he needs to F'n act like it!!
The sins of the father and all that i understand...believe me i can feel my yetzer hara just beneath the skins...my own demons tempting me to be like pretty much every man in my family...all of whom are lower than dirt...but i don't give into it! i'm sorry if he's not strong enough but that's no F'n excuse, he's a grown man and a father:eek: he needs to act like it...
and personally if my children asked me if they could spend the night w/ a man like that i'd tell them hellz no

Sorry don't mean to sound overly pissy about it but i can't stand people who do this sort of thing and the fact that people in the media are following this around like it's the biggest story of the century makes me even more pissed....

all i have to say is if he, like other molesters, is convicted i believe they should be drug in the street and shot!

It's perfectly understandable, and now, of course I wish I hadn't brought up the subject, or had persisted. I am truly sorry Jewscout, both for what you have been through - and it's no use saying 'I understand' - no one can say that. I am also sorry that I have obviously brought it to the 'fore'; had I known, of course I would not have done so. Please accept my sincere apologies.

Michel I hope the truth is found and things go well but like Maize and Jewscout I don't know anything about it because I wasn't there. Michael Shermer says as a species we have a habit of looking for patterns and when one can't be made me make deductions to complete those patterns.

The deductions may be correct or incorrect but many times they are assuemed as if they are found on the same strength as something we have more intimate knowledge of. We american's who do not know Jackson personaly and have never been on ranch know as little as you do about the situation. I just accpet that i do not know and furthermore have no way of knowing . It is not bad for form pattterns..do fight our pattern making self is to fight our nature but to ignore the strength of our current dedcutions in relation to our other deductions is to be dishonest to ourselves.

I get that, but at the risk of being beaten down by the Dr. Phil haters (the man does make some good points),as he once said,' You can be made a victim by someone else, but it's your choice as to how you progress from that experience. See Jewscouts family as a reference...obviously they all chose not to participate to at least some extent in the continuation of his grandfathers problems.

You do make a valid point, and I admire Jewscouts familly's resillience. I think we ought to consider this thread as closed. Had I realized the upset it would evoke, I would not have brought it up.:eek:

Well, while not being able to comment one way or another on the man's innocence (having not been there and all), I will say this: he will not go to jail, even if he is convicted. I believe he'll kill himself first.

I dont get it..he was so darn cute as a kid. Otherwise, Im amazed at how much the 'stars' tend to get away with, and what they will do for a little extra publicity.
