So I assume you all have at least one actor or even presenter with a voice that is just absolutely awesome. An actor that could read the phone book to you, and you’d be satisfied

I don't really have any speaker's voices that I notice. However, when I was little(age 7-8 range), I used to set my alarm so I could wake up and listen to Paul Harvey. I have no idea why I did this, but I did it daily.

I was a weird kid. If I was well behaved, my mother would let me stay up to watch Dateline.

That's interesting. When I was about 8 I made a little radio from a kid's electronic engineer kit. I used to love listening to German radio stations before going to sleep. There was something soothing about a gentle female German voice, even though - or possibly because - I could not understand the words.

My singing reacher in The Hague used to talk about the German "wet T" (I once had to sing a solo Bach piece at her "students' concert" - one of the more alarming experiences of my adult life.) The German radio voices certainly seemed very pure and clear and the speech was very even and calm. I am sure my attraction to Charlotte's voice is due to something similar, though in her case I understand what she's saying perfectly well.

I don't know who Paul Harvey is. Was he a soothing type or - as this was in the morning - was he the sort to make you spring out of bed, ready for action?

I don't mind Emma's "chirpy" voice since it's natural. The voice in the meditation video sounds forced, much like when people are lying.

I do agree. That's what I call a clean, clear and understandable pronunciation.
Especially to us foreigners.

That's cool! I also enjoy listening to people speak German, though I can't understand a word of it. I used to listen to a band called Tokyo Hotel(who were German) both because the vocalist was pretty to listen to, and him and his twin brother were pretty to look at. Actually, I had an entire wall plastered with their pictures. When I went out to the beach(which was across the country) to meet the man that would become my husband, I called my sister, who was house sitting, and asked her to take 'the wall' down once it became apparent he would be coming home with me. I thought it would be impolite if that's what I brought him home to.

I hardly remember Paul Harvey now. I more so remember the clock flashing and making noise so I'd get up. I think he was even in tone, but serious in topic. I believe he was of a conservative viewpoint, but I'm not sure why I wanted to listen to it.

The most famous piece he did was "If I Were the Devil"; a piece I totally don't relate to.
